Discount cards are still available for $20 each and can be used as many times as you like throughout the year. Money earned will go directly back to our Elementary PTO and Jr/Sr High Booster Club. We have added another option for foggy mornings or inclement weather beginning tomorrow. HCS may go to a 3 hour delay if necessary. This may give us time for the fog to lift or the roads to be cleared of snow. When this option is used, we must ADD an hour to the end of the day by state law on attendance. As a result, we will dismiss an hour LATER whenever we use the option of a 3 hour delay. This will help by not adding make-up days to the end of the year. Activities after school will begin an hour later as well. Thank you for your understanding.

Wednesday, November 13th the 8th and 9th grade class will attend the JA JobSpark Career Expo at the Coliseum in Fort Wayne. Students have a parent letter to bring home with more information. They will leave at 11:10 and return by 3pm. All students must have their annual field trip form on file to attend. We have sent forms home this week for any student that does not have their field trip form on file. If your child should not attend the JA trip, please contact the High School Office or email Mrs. Brown. Taylor.Brown@hcs.k12.in.us

Please dress in red, white and blue tomorrow for our Veterans💙 Program begins at 9am.

Elementary Students that are attending the PTO Skating Station tomorrow will depart school at 4:15pm from door 8 and return at 7:15pm at door 1. Students may bring their own skates if they choose and bring money for concessions. A meal will not be provided. Students in BASE will be escorted to the bus at 4:15pm.

Seniors: The Paint Your Spot Party is tomorrow, November 2nd from 2:30-4:30pm (any extra time needed you may do at your own leisure) You are responsible for your own supplies. Suggestions: Latex paint- Exterior- Water Based (Home Depot, Sherwin-Williams, Lowe’s) No oil based or reflective paint. Bring brushes, rollers or a sponge to apply paint and masking tape to mark off a 4 inch border from white lines, chalk to sketch design, broom to sweep spot, plastic drop cloth to put under paint cans, plastic containers for water, paint and brushes. Feel free to bring a passing dish. Main dish will be provided. All designs must be approved by Mrs. Watkins. We hope to see you there!

Reminder tomorrow is pajama day for all students and staff. It's also the last day to purchase "Boo Grams" for $1. Deliveries will be made to the students on Thursday. Have a great night!

Hamilton Community Schools will be conducting a state-required Armed Intruder Drill next Wednesday, November 6th. In consideration of the safety and mental health of students and staff, we will have access to mental health support concluding the drill, if necessary. *This drill will not include anything that intends to simulate a real armed intruder scenario.

All 10th grade students will attend the Career Fair tomorrow at Dekalb High School. We will leave at 8:40 and return by lunch time. Students should return their permission slip to Mrs. Brown tomorrow morning if they haven't done so already.

Good morning! Parent teacher conferences take place this afternoon from 3:30pm-7pm. Please arrive to your assigned conference at your scheduled time in the Elementary. Jr and Sr High parents- Teachers will be available in the Main gym until 7pm this evening and on Friday from 8am-11:30am in the cafeteria. Elementary parents please enter at door 4 and Jr/Sr High parents please enter at door 1. Thank you!

Senior Parents - A reminder that the FAFSA presentation is Wednesday @ 5pm in the Cafeteria. InvestEd will discuss the FAFSA and help parents/students create their accounts. Parents/Students will need to bring the following items to the meeting; Personal Devices/computers to access the studentaid.gov website (students can bring their school computers), Social Security Number (for each person creating account), Personal Email Address (for each person creating account) Please reach out to Mrs. Brown with any questions. Cheer begins tomorrow for students in grades 5th-8th after school until 4:45pm. Schedule for this week is Tues, Wed and Friday. All cheerleaders will need a physical on file before they may practice. Please bring shorts, T-shirt, gym shoes, and a snack. After break, practice will be held after school until 445 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Dress in your blue and white Marine Spirit wear tomorrow! School-wide Pep Rally begins at 2:35pm in the Main Gym! We will be recognizing our Fall Athletes!

Tomorrow is the end of quarter 1. Grade cards will sent in the mail Friday afternoon. Please review before conferences next week. Parent teacher conferences are next Wednesday (10/16) from 3:30-7pm and Friday (10/18) from 8-11:30am. Elementary conferences are scheduled with the classroom teacher. Jr and Sr High teachers will be present in the Main Gym on Wednesday and the Cafeteria on Friday. We hope to see you there!

The Semi-Formal Dance is quickly approaching for students grade 9-12. This year's theme is Enchanted Fall and will be held on Saturday, October 12 from 5:30pm-8:30pm in the Main Gym. Dinner will begin at 5:30pm-Pizza, drinks, desserts, and snacks will be served throughout the night. Come dressed to impress and ready to dance! The DJ will start immediately following dinner. *Tickets are $15 each or $25 per couple and should be purchased by Monday, October 7.
