Today, 9/6/2024, Mrs. Wallace's business class worked on communicating in a formal setting. None of the students knew what the other students speeches were about and had to guess the situation from listening, testing both their own listening skills as well as the the speakers' abilities to communicate clearly. Not all the students finished today, but today we saw Alena Queen win an Emmy, Aiyanna Skees roast her 'family' at Christmas dinner, Emmalynn Kline win a Grammy winner, Miles Dewitt deliver the news , TeigAnn Feed receive the Heisman trophy, Aidan Lingo take home NBA Finals MVP, Navah Campbell give the SOTU as the President of the United States, Asa Osborn delivering his inaugural speech, Victoria Donor sell a product, and Bella Riviera console her team after a crushing loss in the National title game. Several speakers committed to the bit, including Aiyanna (above left in her evening dress) chugging some sparkling water, which promptly fizzed all over her. Lessons learned!
